PX00102_9[1]For next season, NBC has ordered "School Pride," a reality series from University of Central Florida grad Cheryl Hines.

Hines stars in the HBO comedy "Curb Your Enthusiasm," but her NBC series is about unleashing enthusiasm. NBC honcho Jeff Gaspin described it as a "feel-good, do-good show" that is family friendly.

The series "tells the stories of communities coming together to renovate their aging and broken public schools," NBC said.

"School Pride" will share the 8 p.m. Friday slot with Lisa Kudrow's "Who Do You Think You Are?" And "School Pride" will air first. (The above clip features School Pride team member Tom Stroup, who lives in Orlando.)

In announcing its fall plans since the debacle of Jay Leno in prime time, NBC added eight series and demonstrated a renewed commitment to scripted fare. The network canceled "Heroes and "Law & Order," but is talking about wrapping up both with specials next season. NBC also will add the spinoff "Law & Order: Los Angeles." The network will shift "30 Rock" to an earlier time slot on Thursdays and hold "Parks and Recreation" for midseason.

Here's the fall lineup:

Sunday: football.

Monday: "Chuck" at 8; "The Event" at 9; "Chase" at 10. "The Event" is a conspiracy thriller starring Jason Ritter. "Chase" is a Jerry Bruckheimer drama about U.S. marshals hunting down fugitives.

Tuesday:  "The Biggest Loser" at 8; "Parenthood" at 10.

Wednesday: "Undercovers" at 8; "Law & Order: Special Victims Unit" at 9; "Law & Order: Los Angeles" at 10. "Undercovers" is a thriller about married spies.

Thursday: "Community" at 8; "30 Rock" at 8:30; "The Office" at 9; "Outsourced" at 9:30; "Love Bites" at 10. "Outsourced" is a comedy about a Midwest company that outsources its calls to India. "Love Bites" a romantic comedy anthology.

Friday: "Who Do You Think You Are?" and "School Pride" at 8; "Dateline" at 9; "Outlaw" at 10. "Outlaw" stars Jimmy Smits as a former U.S. Supreme Court justice who returns to private practice.

Saturday: reruns.

Sunday at midseason will be "Dateline" at 7; "Minute to Win It" at 8; "The Celebrity Apprentice" at 9.
