Rochester Amerks heroes miss crowds, too - Democrat and Chronicle

Moments before the Bears boarded the bus for Rochester on Thursday they reassigned former RIT goalie Jared DeMichiel to South Carolina (ECHL).
DeMichiel lost his roster spot because all-star goalie Braden Holtby is off the injured list.
He won his only start, 4-3 at Providence last weekend.

Hockey night

The matchup: Amerks vs. Hershey Bears (affiliate of the NHL's Washington Capitals).
Time/place: 7:35 tonight/Blue Cross Arena at the Rochester Community War Memorial.
Tickets/promotion: $14, $17, $19, $20, $22. Dollar dogs, soda and beer from 6:30 to 8 p.m.
Records: The Amerks have won three in a row, improving to 24-26-3-2. Hershey is 34-16-1-3.
Season series: The Bears lead 2-1. The Amerk win was 3-2 on Oct. 16 in Hershey.
